CRI was the first public rowing club in Boston and remains one of the largest in the United States, with over 1,500 people rowing with them annually.

Community Running Association of Boston

Community Running offers professional coaching in a non-competitive environment. Three coached workouts each week, year round, are geared for everybody -- regardless of age, experience or ability. Core membership is made up of "middle to back of the pack" runners who run for fun and fitness and often for a good cause.

Walk Boston promotes walking for transportation and recreation. Their mission is to create and preserve walkable, livable communities through education and advocacy. They offer an illustrated map for a walking tour of Boston and an advocacy handbook for Improving Pedestrian Access to Transit. Walk Boston has also created Metropolitan Boston Trails and Greenways Network, a collaboration of environmental and transportation groups.
