Our projects and programs seek to make the Parklands more active, attractive and accessible, and some of our most important work is accomplished through the Conservancy Volunteers Program.

We are seeking someone to assist our Stewardship Program Manager in facilitating volunteer events and leading our service learning program, working both in and out of the classroom with school groups. Job responsibilities will involve coordinating volunteer events and environmental education events for schools and businesses as well as related office tasks.
We are a small non-profit, and the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work within the organization on press and publicity for the Charles River Conservancy. Tasks will include the writing and issuing of press releases to local news media, writing our various e-newsletters, editing and aiding in the production of CRC mailings, website maintenance, and publicizing the CRC and its various projects.

A familiarity with environmental management, public speaking, and mechanized tools would be helpful, as would a familiarity with state and municipal agencies and politics. Additionally, the successful candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills along with an enthusiastic attitude and an ability to both lead and collaborate. Familiarity with the Charles River Parklands is desirable; commitment to the active use and renewal of the parklands is essential.
The successful candidate will possess:

- Ability to work independently and in collaboration
- Computer skills including but not limited to: MS Office, I-Photo, Filemaker, knowledge of web site maintenance.
