Aspen Technology Group

Aspen Technology CEO Larry Evans and other Aspen Technology employees joined Renata von Tscharner, the Conservancy President, at our Corporate Outreach Event at the Hotel Marlowe in Cambridge in February 2004.

Founded in 2000, The Charles River Conservancy (CRC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the renewal, maintenance and enhancement of the Charles River Parklands.

The CRC works to promote better understanding of the best uses of the basin through education, public dialogue, and interpretive programs. Increased access, good planning, and proper management practices are vitally important to enhancing the architecture, landscape, and public amenities of the lower basin. The CRC partners with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation to ensure the successful implementation of their goals.

CRC Corporate Outreach Event February 2004

Mary Power, Director of Harvard University Community Affairs Office, Cynthia Smith, a Principal at Halvorson Design Partnership, and her husband chatted with Renata von Tscharner, CRC President at the Conservancy's annual Corporate Outreach Event in February 2004.

The Charles River Conservancy would not be able to accomplish its goals without financial support from local corporations and institutions. Organizations that join the CRC not only help fund important parkland initiatives, but also to enjoy the benefits of membership and establish their company as a strong corporate citizen of Greater Boston. Corporate members receive the CRC Newsletter and remain up-to-date on important parklands events and happenings with our monthly e-newsletter. Additionally, corporate members can plan tailored volunteer events for their employees—which have proven an effective and entertaining team building tool. Massachusetts Environmental Trust License Plates

Massachusetts environmental license plateThe Conservancy is grateful to the Massachusetts Environmental Trust for their grant which will enable us to enhance our adult watershed education component of the Conservancy Volunteers Program!

The Mass Environmental Trust is able to dispense over $1.5 million in grants annually to environmental protection and education projects statewide thanks in large part to funds generated from the sale of the Massachusetts state environmental conservation license plates.

Help the environment and allow MET to continue distributing much needed and much appreciated grants among the environmental community - visit www.mass.gov/rmv/express/plates.htm to order your specialty plate.
