Aspen Technology Welcomes CRC

At Aspen Technology, CRC president Renata von Tscharner reviews plans for the Charles River Parklands with AspenTech chairman Larry Evans and executive staff member Christina Carew. In early March over two dozen AspenTech associates participated in a CRC briefing focusing on anticipated Parkland improvements near the company's world headquarters in the Kendall Square area of Cambridge.

With over two dozen staffers in attendance, Aspen Technology, Inc. chairman Larry Evans welcomed Conservancy president Renata von Tscharner and board member Mark Kraczkiewicz to company headquarters on March 4th for a special corporate briefing. Evans and colleague Christina Carew had previously attended a Conservancy event at the Hotel Sonesta in October of last year where they had voiced enthusiasm for Conservancy plans to engage the nearby Kendall Square technology community in planning the renewal of the Charles River Parklands.

In his welcoming remarks on March 4th, Evans said, "We're enormously enthusiastic about the way the Charles River Conservancy is engaging organizations like Aspen Technology. The publication of Inventing The Charles River will help all of us better understand the past and future of the Parklands. AspenTech wants to get involved and see what we can do to make the Parklands a more enjoyable and safe recreational experience."

Evans and staff gave CRC president Renata von Tscharner an enthusiastic round of applause after her presentation, which was followed by a spirited Q&A session. Plans call for the Conservancy to work with AspenTech's Carew to launch a CRC membership drive and engage employees in Parklands restoration programs. Aspen Technology, Inc. is a world leader in systems and software for the process control industries. World headquarters is on Land Boulevard adjacent to the Cambridge Esplanade of the Charles River Parklands.

Charles River Parklands is published by The Charles River Conservancy, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation of the Basin parklands of the Charles River.
