Parkway News
Thank you to those of you who contacted your legislators and urged them
to override the veto on Outside Section #696. With your encouragement,
members of the House and Senate protected the long-term integrity of the
metropolitan parks system by prohibiting transfer of any component of
the metroparks system to any other agencies or other entities without
legislative approval. This is great news for the parkways!

Picture
of the Month
The Charles River Conservancy, with the help of over 30 wonderful volunteers,
recently brought cameras, stopwatches, and clipboards to the parklands
to document dangerous intersections along the Paul Dudley White Pathway.
What they found is shown in this picture of the month. You can also fill
out an on-line survey
to let us know what you think of the pathway.
If you have a picture you'd like to submit for a future picture of the
month, please contact us at crc@thecharles.org.
