CHARLES  RIVER  PARKLANDS  UPDATE
February 2005
Archives—Table of Contents

Resignations at the Department of Conservation and Recreation

Last week, Governor Mitt Romney requested that DCR Commissioner Kathy Abbott and three other DCR officials resign. This demand stemming from an accident on the VFW Parkway saddens the CRC. Kathy Abbott is an exemplary environmental steward and her knowledge, leadership and energy will be greatly missed. For full details on the dismissal as well as subsequent hearings regarding the DCR changes, visit the Mass Audubon Society Advocacy website.
