Herter Park in Allston after the season’s first dusting of snow

Dear Friend of the Conservancy,

As we look forward to the beginning of a new decade, we at the Conservancy hope that 2009 brought you and your loved ones comfort, joy, and many opportunities to enjoy the Charles River Parklands. If you did, perhaps you saw our volunteers providing vital maintenance or planting flower bulbs and gardens. Or maybe you joined us this summer for a game of bocce or badminton during our free Sunday Parkland Games along Memorial Drive. Perhaps you’re interested in our advocacy work aimed at goals such as creating bridge underpasses for the pathways, or maybe you’re enthused by our efforts to bring back swimming? Maybe you are a runner, or simply enjoy the beauty of the parklands.

Please show your love for the Charles River Parklands with a year-end contribution to the Charles River Conservancy.

The donations of people like you are what sustains us as an organization and allows us to continue our work, and the support of our community is what gives us a voice to speak for the Charles River Parklands. Any sized gift will help us continue our mission of renewing the parklands, making them more active, attractive, and accessible. You can even make a gift in honor of someone, or as your own gift to a loved one this year.

We here at the Charles River Conservancy appreciate your generosity and interest in the parklands’ renewal. Best wishes for the remainder of your 2009, and we’re looking forward to another great year.
