Halfpipe to Heaven; Thursday 21 Oct, 2004; 6 - 9pm @ Avalon

^ The proposed new SkatePark under the ramps of the Zakim-Bunker Hill Bridge in East Cambridge.

The designer of the SkatePark is Wormhoudt of Santa Cruz, CA — with the help of over 400 young athletes — and the landscape designer for the surrounding parks is Carol R. Johnson Associates.

The Charles River Conservancy (CRC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to making the parklands more attractive and active.

We are working closely with the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority (current owner of land) and the state’s Department of Conservation & Recreation (future owner of SkatePark).
